Zoom
Do I need to download Zoom for my classes?
No. You can just use the link (and password, when required) provided by each instructor and access from your browser after setting up your CapU account. Though, we recommend downloading it to have a better experience.
How to download / set up an account for Zoom?
- Go to https://capu.zoom.us.
- Click the Sign In
- Log in with your CapU ID and password.
- You will then be taken to the CapU Zoom Portal and to your profile page.
How can I record my meeting?
You need to ask permission from the meeting host before you can record. Once the host allows you to record, you can record the meeting. Another reason is that you probably don’t have enough space in your computer. Before recording a meeting, make sure that you have space in your storage.
How can I test my camera and audio settings?
Go to the settings icon on the upper right corner of the homepage screen. Then click video. You can select which camera you want to use and you can also test it before or during a meeting.
How can I mute/ unmute myself?
By clicking on the microphone icon on the tools bar below:
Or on the microphone icon beside your name on the participants list:
You can also temporarily unmute yourself by pressing and holding the SPACE key while you speak and releasing it to stay muted.

My microphone is not working
Go back to the homepage and click the Settings Icon on the upper right corner of the screen. Go to Audio and select the microphone that you are using. You can also test your speaker before or during a call.
How can I share my screen?
While in a meeting, you can share the following content:
- Entire desktop or phone screen
- A specific application
- A portion of your screen
- Whiteboard
- Device audio
- Content from a second camera
- iPhone/iPad screen
